The Oak Grove Cemetery Shoot

My most recent shoot took place in La Crosse's own Oak Grove Cemetary, the permanent resting place of many of La Crosse's wealthy forefathers.  It has three wonderful mausoleums and many incredible and old headstones and monuments.  I had done a shoot in 2009 there, but wanted to do another one there focusing on a more gothic look and the mausoleums.  I'm quite happy with the photos Troy David Photography and I produced despite the sun setting, and by the end of the shoot I was losing feeling in my toes!  You know you haven't worked hard on a shoot until you're in pain, haha.

I'm working on many beautiful items for an upcoming Chicago Steampunk photoshoot, so keep your eyes peeled for those next month!  Whatever doesn't get sold at the shoot will be put up on my Etsy store.

Hah, not much. October was just insane for me, I haven't had a day off work in about 2 months x_x I'm working on on next year's belly dance costume and have been making bolero jackets for one of the stores where I work. I'm working on a couple commission pieces this week, too. Got something in mind? :)

Wow you are busy! I can't imagine 2months with no days off! I'd go crazy. Are you in a belly dance competition or just making a new outfit for funsies? Congrats for getting one of your designs in the store! Oh, I don't really have anything in mind, just curious to see what you were up to since I haven't talked to you in awhile. Maybe when winter is over we can do some shooting together again.

I was thinking earlier today that perhaps we could have a few of the items you make in the store. We're all about local/independent artisans and designers, so you can check out the website to see if there's anything you make that would fit with the aesthetic of the place. Mostly a lot of professional women and the like.

I am in a belly dance troupe, so every year we have a color scheme and work out about 6 choreographed dances. We just finished up a cane dance, and tomorrow we have to choose a song to choreograph together. Superfun :)

I definitely would love to work with you again, and perhaps spend more than a few hours in Dubuque. Would like to see what the nightlife is like!
